This is a really great invention, that kids can play with for hours and hours. I gifted it to my niece for her 2nd birthday, even though it says on the package that it's unsuitable for 0-3 years old. My niece obviously didn't get the memo, because within minutes she had learned the trick of pressing down on the pen's light button and then drawing on the board. The pens open up to reveal a marker with invisible ink. The ink can be applied to arms, hands, paper and what have you. It then only becomes visible through shining the pen's light on it.I can imagine that it's great fun for a toddler to draw some stuff on the board before going to sleep, and then putting the board in the bedroom before going to sleep. It gives the kid something fun to look at for about 15 minutes, until the drawing has faded away completely. It looks really great in the dark.There are no less than 6 stencils with patterns, so that even the most untalented youthful artist is capable of drawing fun things on the board. The stencils have protective films on them. For every stencil, the film came off easily on one side, but with much difficulty on the other side. A forgettable nuisance.Biggest downside is that one of the 2 pens didn't work, out of the box. The manual doesn't say anything about how to replace the battery. This looks like it's not possible. The manual also doesn't say that you can buy a new supply of these pens, separately. It's only because of the one broken pen that we serendipitously found out about this.For most deliveries from Amazon, I am able to report a problem with it. For this particular delivery, I am unable to do this, because the 'report problem' button is missing. I now have no idea how to contact the seller to request a replacement pen.Update:I managed to contact the seller. He wasn't able to send me a replacement pen, so he simply refunded the whole amount and let me keep the board. That's excellent customer service!

Great boards, decent sizes (A4 and A3) and thick and sturdy. I ordered this set and another to compare and think these are the best quality. However, the other set came with a great pen, whereas the pens in this set did not work (one worked slightly, but only a feint squiggle). I've contacted the seller to ask for replacements for these, as think the set is otherwise great. When used with the other pen from the competitor set, it created bright, images that fade in just the right amount of time, to do a little picture or stencil. I love the packaging and branding, and think it would make a good gift. It's possible the package was opened before and returned (one white tag wasn't in a pen) so I won't penalise the seller for that. If the pen issue is sorted, I'd raise this to 5 stars.Edit: raised to 5 stars as seller was excellent at communicating and sorting the issue! Working perfectly now, kids love it!
