I picked this up for my niece and she was hooked right away. The colours are bright, the magnets are surprisingly strong, and it’s been brilliant for keeping her entertained while also getting her thinking creatively. It’s a decent little set for the price and ideal for younger kids to experiment with building shapes. Only thing to flag is the size—some pieces are smaller than I expected, so definitely more suitable for 3+ with supervision. Still, it's been a hit and feels like a good educational buy.

We’ve been looking for ways to keep our daughter entertained during the Easter break, so we decided to give these magnetic building shapes a try — and they’ve been a great success.The set includes 20 plastic squares in four different colours, along with 18 triangles in five colours. Each shape has magnetic strips along the straight edges, allowing them to easily stick together to create a variety of shapes and structures. The magnetic pull is strong enough to hold the pieces securely but still gentle enough for children to pull apart without difficulty.All the pieces are well made, with smooth edges that make them safe for children to use. The set also comes with an instruction sheet that offers inspiration for different models to build, which is a nice bonus.Overall, this is a fantastic and engaging activity for both children and adults. The pieces are colourful, sturdy, and easy to work with. At just under £8 for the set, it offers great value for money and would make an affordable and thoughtful gift.

A brilliant building set. The pieces hold together by magnets enclosed between 2 colourful sides. There are no small parts exposed so little ones can have a go, although the toy is for ages 3+ as there are small magnets inside (which make a rattling sound), so you have to be aware that it's not for babies or very young children.However I think this is something parents will be quite happily to supervise initially. We've all be unable to resist having a little play, adults included. I like that each piece has a choice of 2 colours to choose to put on show. Also included is a very helpful sheet to get you started, which lists exactly how many of each type of shape - out of 18 triangles and 20 squares - you'll need to make a rocket, flower, heart, butterfly and complex ball and house shapes.Of course the toy can be combined with others to fuel the imagination - dwelling for other small toys, garages for toy cars, tunnels for trains etc. I think it's good from hand-eye co-ordination to thinking about how shapes combine mathematically, construction and creativity. An ideal versatile toy for occupying developing minds.
