Beware! This horizontal vice does not fit the LS1219 Miter Saw! When mounted on the saw it will not even compress a 3/4” board against the fence! The bolt mechanism is just not long enough. I talked with Makita before I ordered and they told me this horizontal vice fits the 1219 saw. NOT! I talked to a rep yesterday and was again assured it was the right part. NOT! They then suggested i take it to a service center! What a joke. So i got a return authorization from Amazon to return the $85 part. Prblem is, it has to be returned to Great Brittan at s cost of $118.00!
