What a cracking piece of kit! Beautifully packed in generously padded box with excellent handbook. Usual impressive Makita quality, as I have found since equipping my joinery shop with their stuff 50 years ago. Generous cross-cut reach, and beautifully engineered throughout, including all the nicely firm stops needed. All kinds of nice extra touches clearly triggered by people actually making things and spotting room for improvements here and there. I would have paid another couple of hundred quid for this saw and still considered it a bargain, and I am a tight perfectionist who doesn't often say things like that! My best buy for years.
