I don't create manga but I love stationery: pens, notepaper, journals, erasers, ink pots, etc. I wanted to introduce my school-age children to "dip pens" (I haven't used one in more than 2 decades, so I'm hardly an expert, myself) with some inexpensive, basic pens and varied nibs. I knew they wouldn't be treated particularly well, no matter how gentle and careful my children tried to be, so this cheap and cheerful set were a good starter kit.Ink went everywhere! LOL. We made a mess. Not much writing was done -- a lot more ink ended up on the kitchen counter and floor than on the page. But we had fun. The nibs were definitely not The Nikko G or the Brause EF66 (fine, relatively expensive calligraphy tips for those who are serious about their penmanship) and a few were quite scratchy on the paper (maybe the fault of my choice of paper, rather than that of the nibs?) but my daughter said she felt like she was writing like a girl from the 1800s and my son appreciated how much harder writing was for people 200 years ago than today, with our biros. So, all in all, an amusing, educational, screen-free afternoon activity!One photo of pack next to kids' mechanical pencil to give an idea of size.
