Use these filters on my Triumph Spitfire and 1300 saloon. The non-return valve is essential for horizontal-mount filters to stop all the oil draining out, so when you next start the engine it doesn't take ages for oil pressure to build.One of my engines has some mystery damage, so I cut the filter open to see what debris I could find. It was well-constructed and had mopped up masses of crud from piston fragments.

Bought this for a 1968 Triumph 1296cc engine to replace a very poor filter supplied by a Triumph "specialist". This is a far superior filter and the non-return feature is effective in maintaining oil pressure on start up. Will only be fitting a MANN-FILTER in future.
