Marina S10 Power Filter, tot 37,8 l

I was dubious about this as I had such a small area to work with in the acrylic lid. I didn't want to cut the lid anymore. I have to say it fits perfectly and runs wonderfully. Some Marina media came with it but I ignored that. Instead I used filter floss which I change regularly and some Biomedia already cycled from the other tank. The motor is quiet, smooth and the sponge over the intake stops the cherry shrimp being sucked into the filter. A great buy.

Très bon produit, pour le prix c'est nickel. Se monte très bien sur mon 15L récifal. Alors oui ça vibre un peu.... 2 solutions soit on équilibre l'hélice et bon courage ou sinon il faut isoler la pompe. Pour celà, couper en 2 le tube à la sortie de la pompe, et prendre 2 à 3 cm de tube en 13/16 classique, et hop plus aucunes vibrations. Voir ma photo. une autre solution serait de fixer le corps principal du filtre contre l'aquarium avec de la mousse adhésive double face, style celle vendue pour les drones, bien dure.Je pense que les 2 consommables (filtre zeolite et charbon) reviennent cher à la longue, je pense continuer sur du perlon et de la zeolite dans le fond et non dans une cartouche spécifique.

Ok, I just installed it and will probably have to update this, but right now I'm so happy!When I first put it in, I couldn't get it to work. I took it out, looked through all the parts, foxed with it but didn't make any real changes. (Maybe it was put together a little tighter.) Reinstalled it and it started right up.I don't use filter cartridges. I just put in some media from my last filter and added some new filter floss on top. Between that and setting it to a low flow, I got the flow perfect for my betta.I didn't love the way it tilted on my tank, so folded a paper towel and wedged it under the back. That's my only issue and it was easily solved.

I had to get refund from amazon for this product (thank you Amazon for that one, handled without a hassle), because the rotor and/or shaft simply is crap. As in CRAP. It worked for one week, no rattle, no sounds, nothing. Aaaaaand then after about 1 week of using it... that's where it started. LOUD noises, as in REALLY loud, the motor vibrating that much that it even vibrates out of my hand, rattling,... you name it. Tried lubricating it... didn't work. Gave a 2 weeks to "adjust"... nope. It became worse and worse, to the point that I even lost shrimps to the amount of vibrations sent directly into the tank.Thanks goodness Amazon itself as a good warranty!!!!!!!!
