I've bought Elixir strings for as long as I can remember and can't fault them...so why did I buy Martin strings? Well, I'd bought a Martin guitar and so thought I'd match it up with these strings as they were highly recommended.I'm not a big fan of new strings...much prefer them when they've been on a few weeks and lost that bright zingy sound. These didn't really suffer too much from that and whilst they sounded new and bright they had a rich depth from the off.I've had them on now for around 3 months and they still sound excellent and stay in tune despite some bending and changing tunings several times.They are certainly as good as Elixr strings whether they ;last as long remains to be seen but so far so good...I should add, I keep strings on for a long time as I like the dull sound as they age!I would recommend trying them as theya re a good price and I'm sure you don't need a MArtin to appreciate their sound.

レトロ弦は昔の1930年代の弦を現代風に再現しています。ブロンズ弦が出る前の時代。ニッケルと銅を混ぜたモネルを巻弦に使用しています。見た感じが、シルバーのエレキ弦のような雰囲気。特徴は、新品時の高音域のキラキラが強くない、なんかこのギターキンキンする、なんてギターでマイルドな音にしたい。こんな時に役に立ちます。俺はギターの弦は死んで来た方がいい音になる。新品時はダメだ。こんな人は試してみるべきでしょう。参考になるYouTube動画タイトル斎藤誠がマーティンOMC-16E、D-16E、DSS-17、000JR-10を語る【Martin Times〜It’s a Beautiful Day】この動画で9分30秒以降に出てくるギター2本がこの弦を工場装着されています。かなり詳しく演奏されています。Martin Times、日本のトップバンド、サザンオールスターズのサポートギタリストが解説、弾きまくっています。この動画を見て直ぐに、私の持っているコンパクトなギター、K.yairi のノクターンに張り替えました。このギターは日本のプロミュージシャンも使用しているパーラーギターで、森山直太朗さんがライブや藤井フミヤさんPV「木漏れ日の風に吹かれ 」で使用しています。これ以外にも、山崎ハコさん、 かぐや姫、風の伊勢正三さんはノクターンとノクターンカスタムの2本を所有。サウンドホールがFとか、月、星、亀、オールマホガニー、なんてカスタムが日本国内ではオーダー出来ます。570ミリのスケールのパーラーサイズの単板ギターです。それ以来この弦をノクターンには張っています。エレキ弦みたいな感触と、高音がマイルドになるので、長時間弾いていられる。張りっぱなしの期間が長い。サイド、バックが合板のギタ―で高音がストロークでキンキンする音が目立ちすぎなんてギターを改善したい人にはお勧めです。

J'ai bien dû tester au moins une petite dizaine de marques de cordes depuis que j'ai commencé à jouer de la guitare et je peux dire que ses cordes sont de loin les meilleures avec lesquels j'ai pu jouer. Je ne suis pas un pro (plutôt d'un niveau intermédiaire/avancé) et pas non plus un fervent connaisseur du monde guitariste mais elles sonnent bien et donnent bien plus de vie dans mes parties de solo. Facile à jouer, pas trop dur mais pas non plus trop mou, en revanche le style de sonorité n'est peut-être pas adapté à tout genre de musique, à vous de voir...À vos guitares!

Producono un volume e dei bassi inferiori ad altre corde, ma il suono è bellissimo, dolce ed armonico. Mantengono suono ed elasticità per molti mesi. Forse sono le corde più longeve tra quelle non rivestite.

What can I say? I've tried pretty much every set of strings by Martin, and so far I liked these the best. They last a good while, ring true, and feel nice under your fingertips. I also just like the silver look more than the copper ones (especially after they get worn down a bit).
