This Masterclass zester is very well designed and put together for grating. It is made out of a strong and durable Stainless steel with a soft grip handle and a non-slip silicone foot. It feels robust and durable.My wife and I both cook and bake on daily basis and tool like these are very much an integral part of our kitchen we often host hot of parties with friend and family. I love baking and zester will be great for grating citrus fruits, nuts, ginger, cheese and chocolate. Grater is razor sharp and handle has a good grip. Silicone base foot is excellent as it keeps grater from sliding.Only negative which is not a big issue is that the grater is not as wide as I have used before . Otherwise I am very happy with it.

When they said this zester was 34cm they weren’t kidding, it’s really long but thankfully still fits in my cooking utensils drawer. It’s got a sturdy handle made of metal, and a rubber grip at the top meaning you can use it against a flat surface or use it as a handheld took. It’s really easy to wash and has been greater for cocktail making so far. The plastic safety cover is handy to have, as it stops accidents when rummaging through the utensil’s drawer. The only downside I can spot is mine arrived slightly bent, but it doesn’t affect its function.Recommend 100%.

This grater was a bit bigger than I was anticipating, the length similar to my Microplane ones and Lakeland equivalents, but narrower. It took a very light pressure to zest a lemon, it was very sharp and it would be easy to go too far and grate the pith, making your cake or other concoction bitter. Most of the zest fell off easily into the cake batter with just a light tapping, and running my finger along the back collected the remainder. the zest was finely grated meaning there were no long strands in my lemon drizzle The slender shape is helpful in ensuring that you grate the zest and not your fingers or knuckles as it is a smaller surface area. The zester comes with a clip on plastic protector, handy if keeping in a drawer to keep the serrations sharp and your hands intact.

Take into account the fact that you'll use a zester like this for more than just adding grated peel to Christmas puddings and for lemon drizzle cake and this MasterClass 30cm long zester with protective sheath could be worth adding to your culinary arsenal.I have an old style four sided Nutbrown metal grater. I can grate citrus peel on one small section of this. However, with this dedicated MasterClass stainless steel zester it's so much quicker - especially if you have a fair bit to grate - and much more keenly sharp too. Plus you can grate in both directions - which makes life that bit simpler.With Christmas drawing closer, you could use this zester for grating chocolate over cakes and desserts. Or for grating nutmeg, cinnamon or ginger root. This decent quality, good value MasterClass zester feels easy to hold and I like the fact that the rubberised section on the top of the zester lets you stand it at an angle on a surface without slippage.
