I work from home and have a tall desk so I can periodically stand while I work. This extender is perfect to raise my chair to the Goldilocks height!! The original part is very hard to remove. I had to have my son do it for me because I just couldn’t get it. So you will need someone strong to help you with this endeavor. It’s worth it. No wobbles. Works perfectly.

So far…so good. I’ve had many problems with these things in the past - because I’m 6’2”/ 225lbs - so time will tell. However, I KNOW this one will last (I got the longest model) because even when it’s collapsed it’s at just the right height - which is fine for me.BTW: Have a large hammer ready to know the old one out of the base - and a pipe wrench that you grip the upper portion with. I had to use the hammer on the wrench handle (in both directions) to loosen the upper portion where it press-fits into the chair. That’s the tough part. Both ends are press-fit. And leave the little clip at the bottom alone. It doesn’t need to come off.

Decent quality. Not heavy duty but for my application it worked well Stem was slightly smaller circumference than part I removed from original chair but no big issue.
