No complaints. Beautiful, functional, high quality. I would buy again, and it would make a great gift for someone new to matcha life.

Well the first set that I received the stand was broken I return it, when I received the replacement that set the whole set was basically shattered into little pieces.

on your screen this chawan might look authentic japanese. however irl, it is nothing like a real thing. it is extremely heavy. the bottom ring is too short to balance such a heavy bowl. notice that the seller posted several pictures, yet not a single one showing the foot of this bowl. funny, they bothered to show the bottom of the whisk shaper. meaningless.some are happy that the bowl does not break when dropped. of course, it is as heavy as a cement block. the opposite of a true chawan.btw, the bowl is shown with some red-ish design. the bowl that was sent is uniformly matte black. if you need a bowl for rice, soup or a simple decoration, this might do the trick. if you are looking for a matcha bowl, this bowl is not it. even when it was $12, it was not worth it. now at $18+ it is surely not a good buy. matcha lovers - if you want a real matcha bowl, spend a few buck more and buy a better bowl. amazon has a few, reasonably priced, made in japan, which are good for every day.little things: a whisk shaper is generic. for some reason, the bowl is matte black, while the whisk shaper is very shiny. also, depending on the size whisk, it might not even fit it.1 star for effort and 1 star for the fact that the bowl looks OK ... from a distance

Was hoping that it would be all black or at least tones of brown. Instead it has purple drips on it. I want to return and get my money back. But I guess it could work if you don't care about the looks. But this just won't go with my tea set. I paid a little too much for something I wanted with beauty and simplicity.
