I bought these for volleyball and can confirm that they definitely are fit for the purpose.Pros:- knee is also covered on the side: a lot better protection than with "standard" volleyball knee pads.- good quality, stitching holding together very well after many months of very heavy use.- they don't slide up/down/side of your leg no matter how hard you land on them, you hardly ever need to adjust them.Cons:- these pads are rather tight fit, which means they stay in place well, but also become uncomfortable if worn for a long time. I found that sliding them down my legs during technical breaks and them putting them back on when walking into the court is the best way of using them.- your knees will get hot in these due to the tight fit and plenty of additional padding. It may actually be a good thing for bad knees, but as mentioned above, I recommend to slide these pads up and down for comfortable use.- they look rather bulky on anyone under 6'0... but why would you care?All in all, I prefer and recommend using these over the traditional design.

Ganz wichtig:meine Knie sind nicht sehr groß (Umfang ca. 42 cm) so hatte ich zuerst eine Größe L bestellt.Diese war aber zu klein. So habe ich die XL genommen. Und jetzt setzten sie perfekt und außerdem jucken und rutschen nicht.

They are a rather tight fit around the thigh. I got the XL size and wouldn't say that I have massive thighs so if you body build they're not going to fit. Having said that after a few washes and volleyball games they've stretched and become more comfortable. They offer very good knee protection when I dive and don't slip down my leg as other brands have done.
