the touchscreen buttons are impossible to use, pervious/next a right near the play speed, which goes from +8 to -8 and the A-B Repeat function, which NOBODY USES. In addidion the repeat and schuffle are right underneath it. and the yellow bar can also be used to skip. So whatever you push, the device does something else. On top of that the shuffle wheel that controls volume just does random things, it takes a whole lot of spinning to actually get the volume to where you want it. Everytime you charge the device or turn it off/on it turns off its bluetooth. It only connects to my cheap erbuds, not my expensive ones. It does not have a bookmark feature! None, whatsoever. I asked for a firmware upgrade to get this function but the sofware to install it is in chinese. After numerous attempts to get it in english I have given up. I do not get any emails anymore. I'm sending it back and will never buy from Mechen again. The only reason it has 2 stars is because the battery life and data capacity is good.***Correction, 2 days later*** the power button is fritzed, it randomly shuts on and off all the time.Rating reduced to 1 star.

This Mechen MP3 player might technically function, but only if you have zero standards and fingers as thin as toothpicks. The touchscreen is so hypersensitive and misaligned that using it feels like a punishment. I’ve spent absurd amounts of time just trying to press the back button, only to have it randomly activate something else on a completely different part of the screen. It’s as if the buttons have a mind of their own – especially the back button, which clearly resents its purpose.The user interface is a mess: counterintuitive, clunky, and astonishingly bad for a device that only needs to do a few basic things. Navigating files is a nightmare, requiring tedious renaming just to get them to appear in order. Shuffle and repeat don’t work properly. Forget about playing albums in sequence or managing playlists like a normal person.Yes, it technically plays music – if you’re extremely patient, have no expectations of usability, and don’t mind feeling like you're fighting the device every step of the way.Truly one of the most frustrating pieces of tech I’ve ever owned. Do not waste your money.
