After looking at a number of protective cases for my Fuji X-T5 I decided on the this one. When I examined it after it arrived I found the quality of manufacture and material to be excellent . It fitted the camera perfectly , is easy to fit and remove whilst providing access to the ports and battery compartment when on the camera and can accommodate the 10-24, 16-80 and 18-135 zoom lenses with the cover closed. I offers very good protection for both the camera and lens.

This case is very nice leather, and very well constructed. If you have an X-T5, you will likely already know that this is a difficult camera to case. It has numerous projections, the lens (with a kit zoom) is large, and there are panels which need access to get to batteries, memory cards, etc. Probably the biggest challenge is dealing with the lens This case appears a bit ungainly, but it does the job. It covers and protects everything on the camera quite well, and is well lined and cushioned. The brown leather is the color of the original Fuji X100 leather case (or old Roliflex Twin Lens Reflex cameras, for that matter!) and is, to my eye, quite handsome. Unlike the case for my X100, I probably won't keep this on the X-T5 all the time. I anticipate using it when I want to case the camera and toss it in a bag with other things. Then I think it will be great to help protect the camera. TL;DNR: a good case for a camera that is hard to case.

I’m using this, as something to keep the fujifilm X-T5 safe in my hiking bag. It feels strong and sturdy, but only the section that covers the screen section of the camera is padded. The rest is just a stiff leatherThe areas that you’d need to get easy access to, like the USB and SD card sections are easy enough. The battery section requires you to unsnap two buttons, but that’s ok too. It all makes sense once you use it.At first it feels a little odd to use. Rather than putting the camera in it, you lower it on to the camera. But once you get used to it, it’s okIt does look stylish, whilst not adding a significant amount of weight. It has that older camera case type of charm to itThe tube of the case, is only held on to the bottom by one snap on button, and if you want a quick photo, whilst that is attached, it really gets in the way. I wish they had used a little length of leather or cord so it could drop down and out of the way. So I will be using this more as a transport case, taking the camera out and putting it around my neck, and putting the case back in my hiking bagI left the section of the case that screws into the tripod mount, on the camera. It doesn’t get in the way for me, and makes the camera slightly nicer to hold. It also makes putting everything back together again, easier.Anything bigger than the XF16-80mm lens will not fit.I wouldnt have purchased this at full price, because it’s too limiting in some ways, but for the cheaper price i got it at, it’s good.
