Does as expected for a very decent price.

The built-in flash on the Panasonic Lumix FZ330 is surprisingly good, but not as good as having a standalone flash for certain situations. Trouble is, the official Panasonic item is over £300. Third-party flash is the answer then, but reading the various support forums it looks like many units don't work (or work reliably) with the FZ330. I ended up doing a lot of research and it came down to a choice between the Mieke MK320P or the Nissin i40. The choice wasn't that hard, as the Mieke is not only half the price of the (better specced) Nissin, but gets a thorough and pretty positive reviewing by the God of Lumix FZ, Graham Houghton (it's a video review, on YouTube, if you want to look for it - Amazon won't let me post the link)The main thing was that I could be confident it would work with the FZ330 (although it doesn't with the FZ200) and that I could rely upon the TTL function to do what it should. I was not disappointed, as it really does work and work well - within the limitations of a relatively small flash unit of course (around 20m at ISO 100 is realistic). Build quality is great, the battery tray both has a very firm click to it and store batteries in a way which makes them easy to remove (not something every flashgun can do, in my experience). It comes with a diffuser, although it's a bit Heath-Robinson looking it does the job. It also looks good on a smallish bridge camera such as the FZ330, rather than a flash the same size as the camera itself.The LCD screen is clear and easy to use, with menu options being very intuitive and to hand. Plenty of modes including TTL, manual and stroboscopic. Works as an optical slave (S1/S2) and incorporates an LED video lamp that is surprisingly good for such a small unit. Press the on/off button once and it toggles the video light, hold to turn the unit off.Niggles could possibly be the restricted sideways rotation (60 degrees left, 90 right) and tilt of 7 to 90 for portrait photographers. To be honest this isn't a major issue for me and my usage though. Nor is the five second recycle time, which is par for the course in this price range...

perfetto per lo scopo.il giusto connubio tra compattezza, leggerezza, qualità e rapporto qualità prezzo.il TTL fa il suo lavoro, il numero guida è più che adeguato per le dimensioni, la rotazione della testa è indispensabile e valida, prezzo notevolissimo, manca lo zoom della parabola del flash, ma le ridottissime dimensioni ne impediscono la presenza.le prove a casa sono risultate molto positive, in vacanza lo testerò più approfonditamente
