In sommige stijlen wordt met een racket gespeeld, terwijl de andere hand wordt gebruikt voor open tonen en slaps, en in andere wordt met twee clubs gespeeld. Deze repiniques produceren een helder en snijdend geluid met doordringende randschoten die deze instrumenten moeten leveren. MEINL biedt twee maten van hoogwaardig aluminium.

I bought this repinique to see how it sounds against other brands.I have repinique from Pearl, Contemporanea, LP, and a no-name brand.This repin had 8 lugs that uses regular drum key (a big plus).The shell is aluminum so it's lighter then my steel Contemporanea repin.It's has similar look and feel of LP aluminum repin but it sounds better(more metalic and brighter). I would guess this maybe because the drum head is superior then LP.I'd recommend this Meinl 12" repin for any serious samba musician.
