Firstly, I LOVE Meinl. They are a quality instrument brand and I have so many percussion and world music instruments from them. Unfortunately this tank drum is a let down. I naively thought that some of the reviews may have been a little harsh around dull notes. You can pay a quarter of the price of this instrument for a similar tank drum that sounds a hundred times better. Don't bother with this one Meinl. I still think you're a great manufacturer of quality instruments.

The F4 note is flat and dull. Really spoils the overall performance. The other 7 notes are good. I am sending it back. For an expensive drum the laser cuts looked poorly done. This is too expensive to be anything but perfect.

Order arrived in reasonable time considering that it was shipped from the U.S. product was packaged well and arrived safely. Tongue Drum itself appears to be solid and high quality. It is a gift so the person that it has been purchased for does not have it yet but I am sure he will be very pleased as this is the item he chose.

This drum has such a beautiful ethereal sound. I was seaching for an affordable moon tuned instrument that anyone could play. This is perfect! My children age 6 and 2 love it and it is so calming. I purchased this for use in sound healing and i could not be more pleased. There are a lot of gorgeous and aesthetically pleasing drums that can be bought cheaper, but it was important ti me for it to be tuned planetarilly and to the moon specifically. I can overlook the visual beauty for the amazing sounds it produces.

Arrived promptly and would be terrific if it did not have poor resonance in the highest note range. Lower notes sound lovely, but the two highest treble notes are somewhat dead sounding, lacking resonance. Advertised as precision manufactured, so would not expect this flaw.
