Good coffee doesn't require fancy and expensive machines. All you need is boiling water, a good quality coffee, any paper filter (cut to size if needed) and this filter cone. I've been brewing my coffee with a filter cone for many years and it's be far the easiest, cheapest and best method to brew a cup.

It does the job. Nevertheless, the two holes are uncomfortable to put the filter in. I would recommend having two design options with one and two holes.

1. It's MUCH sturdier and less 'plasticky' than our old (Melitta) plastic cones (x2, x4 and x6)2. We've always preferred plastic filter-cones to ceramic ones 'cos the coffee is warmer and the plastic cones are easier to handle.3. The 2-outlets, so the 1 or 2-cups-at-once possibility, is GREAT and it works really well. The x4 and x6 Melitta cones are now also able to make 2-cups-at-once = GREAT again!4. There's now a hole in the new 2-outlet cones that lets you SEE (so long as the light is bright enough - so maybe a torch!) whether your cup/s is/are full = hurray!5. This 2-outlets cone is so much better than the old single-outlet ones that we are throwing out ALL our old Melitta cones.6. We also have an AeroPress but we hardly bother to use it any more - we don’t find the coffee it makes any better than the Melitta x2 cone - and it’s MUCH more faffing-about … though we do know that some people (even!) enjoy the ritual & the faffing. But the AeroPress does slip slightly more easily into our travel bags … so we’re not throwing it out!And, 2 years later, an update:-7. In my nerdier moments since writing the above 2 years ago I’ve now experimented with both a Clever Dripper and a Hario Switch for the greater control and more brewing time that they offer. But I no longer bother with either and am back 101% happily to our Melitta!

Wollte mal für zwischendurch eine Tasse frisch gebrühten Kaffee trinken. Habe sonst eine Kapselmaschine. Dieser Filter ist ausreichend für 1 Tasse und gut zu händeln. War mal wieder ein ganz anderer Geschmack. Filter ist schön klein, leicht und handlich.

Not a fan of the new holes they put on the base that fits over the mug. I'm guessing it's so you can monitor the level of coffee while it's pouring so that overflow can be prevented, but it allows heat to escape, which isn't good if you like scalding hot coffee like me

Sono un patito di caffè fatto in tutti i modi e mi mancava quello americano.Non volevo prendere una macchina elettrica con il bricco che in genere sono grosse e ingombranti: questa è una ottima soluzione. Il caffè viene molto bene, ovviamente vi deve piacere il caffè americano, molto lungo....Se devo trovare un piccolo difetto è che se fate il caffè americano con due tazze il caffè non scende in modo regolare in entrambi le tazze e quindi dovete fare un po' di attenzione.Ovviamente dovete anche comprare anche i filtri di carta che costano anche questi molto poco.Assolutamente consigliato.
