I made 40+ cross cuts (ca. 20 cm each) on 12mm thick laminate of decent quality (i.e. tough). The last ones lasted forever (got completely blunt) and the whole thing turned into a smoke generator. Paint on the sides formes a thick green smear that adds nicel to the burn marks... I don't know, perhaps I expected too much but am disappointed nonetheless
