Great impact. Capable of a ton of power AND delicate small fastener duty. It doesnt quite have the power of the gen3 milwaukee, but its pretty close- the metabo is far more controllable though. The speed/torque dial is genius. I have used many impacts over the years, I usually have 2 going at a time for workflow, when I went shopping for a new impact I tried makita’s flagship and hitachi’s triple (I already own milwaukee gen3 and used to own a dewalt 887), out of all of them I liked the metabo the best, its in a class of its own imo. Its not trying to be a spec sheet queen or wow you with marketing wankery like many other manufacturers these days(I talking about you Milwaukee), its just a really solid tool.UPDATE:After 6 months of use, I love this impact. It is absolutely the nicest impact driver I have used. The torque dial is awesome, most impacts have 3-4 torque options, the metabo has 12!!! Delicate brass screws or lag bolts into timbers it does a great job. The grip size is also very nice, chunkier than a milwaukee or dewalt grip, I wear a size L glove, sometimes XL, and it fits my hand perfectly. Very comfortable to use all day.The only gripe I have with the metabo is the collet isn’t a one handed insert kind like milwaukee and the rest, you have to pull the collet to insert a bit, but its a tradeoff I’m willing to make.Oh, the battery platform on metabo is pretty stellar. Incredible batteries. Very fast charge.Overall I have been exceedingly happy with my metabo impact and drill.
