Metabo HCBAG HSS Schaafbladen voor HC260, Groen

Due to the vagueness of the listing, I wasn't sure if these were the real deal for a Metabo Hc260c. They are. After popping in this new set of disposable blades, my planer is planing 200mm oak boards beautifully. Great price from amazon for an item which can be quite tricky to source in the UK

I'm new to the world of the HC260 so I believed the listing when it said HSS. I hought the blades, then found out i needed a special carrier for HSS blades. The HSS blades have 4 holes along the length of the blade and they're slotted. These have a hole at each end, so they're carbon steel blades. They'd be OK on softwood, but I've a pile of Welsh oak to get through and they're not going to be up to that. Normally carbon steel blades can be found for half the price of HSS blades. I was tempted because they were cheap, they're going back.

Have not tried them yet but they fit perfectly and can be flipped when dull. All in all, great value for money.
