I used the turnbuckles in my 1/10 onroad car. Slightly hitting the curb and this happened. Quality not good

I received this item all week n good, until I went to use it on the model I bought it for. I went to adjust it to size, 1 side went to within 2mm of the centre adjuster, the other side bound up 5mm away, which made it too long for purpose, as I needed to use it, I held the centre nut and turned the stiff side to see if it would get any closer. After 15mins of winding in and out gentle and lubricating it finally got within 2mm of the adjuster, which is just short enough for the specified purpose. I then put off curiosity checked all the others. Unfortunately they all had the same problem on the same side. I'm going to put these in file 13, and get some better ones, as a few of the ball ends felt notchy, and not smooth which will cause issues on my model and potentially damage other components, overall not happy. I feel they were very low quality and/or poorly manufactured.
