It is not a Microsoft stylus, but it does work very well as an alternative replacement for a lost MS stylus. Once thing that I notice is that it doesn't weight as much as the real thing. The heft of the MS makes it seem to be more durable that this, but only time can tell. One thing I do like is that the MS and this one uses the same size battery (AAAA). These types of batteries were hard to find. So I order two rechargables for me MS so I can now use them in either stylus. This stylus seems to be a little more tactile. As to cost having misplaced the MS stylus was the reason for ordering this one. When looking at the cost of the replacement from MS and this one. MS stylus was three or four times this one. Value wise as a replacement it was cost at first the directed my purchase. However, after using it for several days found it to be very easy to use for highlighting to copy as well as point and click as in playing games on the compute. Also, the button is multipurpose as if using a mouse. It is intuitive in it's use. Therefore the five starts.

The sensitivity of the stylus feels right when applied to my surface pro 6. I have tried finding a replacement to the original one that is cost effective and i think this is an excellent alternative. The magnet is just ok and can be stronger but due to the round shape it has, it cannot stick firmly as with surface pen.

J'ai une surface pro 9 avec un slim pen 2 mais je souhaitais un stylet à utiliser lors de mes déplacements (je ne voulais pas risquer de perdre un stylet à 100€...).Et bien, je ne suis pas déçu ! Le stylet arrive avec une pile AAA, une mine de rechange et un petit outil pour retirer la mine afin de procéder au changement de celle-ci.C'est pratique d'avoir une pile, comme ça il n'est pas nécessaire de se soucier de la charge de celui-ci, même si il reste quelques temps dans un sac de voyage par exemple. Après si le fait d'acheter des piles vous gêne, vous pouvez toujours opter pour des rechargeables.En ce qui concerne l'utilisation : il se connecte instantanément à la surface sans aucun soucis, pas de réglage ni de branchement, pas même d'appareillage à réaliser, il est de suite reconnu et prêt à fonctionner.Pour le comparer avec le slim pen, il est très bon, je préfère tout de même la fluidité du slim pen à l'écriture et pour le dessin, mais il sera amplement suffisant pour quelqu'un qui ne souhaite pas dessiner avec ou faire de l'écriture manuscrite avec sur une longue période. Gros plus : il prend en charge les niveaux de pression, ce qui est top pour le dessin ou la calligraphie.Il sera parfait comme stylet de remplacement ou pour tous les jours, les matériaux sont de bonne qualité et le stylet fait très qualitatif. Le prix est, en plus, vraiment très attrayant !

Smooth writing, easy handling, also magnetic which helps to prevent loss. Comes very handy for my Surface Pro.
