Producto estupendo para llevarlo en el bolsillo, la maleta o en un viaje y utilizarlo cuando lo necesites como un AP personal, además es un Mikrotik en toda regla!.Y uno se pregunta, y además ¿para que me sirve un punto de acceso de tan sólo 100 Mbit/s y Wifi 2G? en mi caso es para aislar los inseguros IOTs que sólo se conectan las no tan seguras redes 2G, por no andar creando vlans, tengo a todos estos aparatitos conectados y aislados (+ isolation) en el mAP, el consumo es ínfimo, es POE y el que sólo sea 100 Mbit/s es lo máximo que saca el que en el hipotético caso se cuele... Al ser un routerOs tiene firewall y otras cosas mas...También se me ocurre para una red de invitados aislada de mi redEn resumen, sin complicarte, aísla lo inseguro en el mAP!

This thing is tiny, and can be PoE powered, making it incredibly flexible. I have a remote gate that I wanted to install the highest resolution Ring doorbell, which is unfortunately not the one that has Ethernet support. So, what to do. My wifi signal out to that location is weak, and the doorbell would not reliably allow for two way communication with people at the gate. I had ethernet out there, then found this little guy, and it made for the perfect solution. I put it in a little weatherproof box, sealed the ethernet wire into the box, and powered it with PoE. I stuffed the whole thing in the wall behind the doorbell and it's set to act as a wifi to ethernet bridge with a custom SSID just for my doorbell to use. Now the doorbell has a strong wifi signal six inches away and works flawlessly. The mikrotik has an accessible IP on the internal side of the bridge so I can still manage and update it as needed.

Questo marchio mi ha da subito entusiasmato, quando ho iniziato ad impiegarlo un anno e mezzo fa. La configurazione dei dispositivi di questo brand richiede però un'ottima conoscenza delle reti ed una certa dimestichezza riguardo al modus operandi di RouteOS. Una volta acquisita si possono però implementare delle funzionalità piuttosto avanzate, contando anche su un'ottima affidabilità. Questo dispositivo non fa eccezione, ha le dimensioni di una scatola di cerini, è dotato di una porta ethernet con un "vero" PoE (IEEE 802.3af) e funziona bene. Sono comunque impazzito un giorno intero prima di riuscire a farlo funzionare come Access Point base, cioè senza routing tra le due interfacce. Questa semplice configurazione necessita di impostare un bridge software tra la porta wlan e quella ethernet, ma non appena includevo la ethernet nel bridge, questa cessava di funzionare. Il problema si manifestava solo connettendo il dispositivo con il mio switch a 24 porte MikroTik CSS326-24G, che gestisce diverse reti tramite le VLAN (con porte comunque untagged). Con altri switch, anche managed ma senza VLAN, era tutto OK. Alla fine è stato sufficiente impostare nel bridge, sezione STP, protocol=none, invece che RSTP (impostazione predefinita) e tutto è andato a posto
