This unit is supposed to go over the top of the steering wheel and it’s one of the better ones for the traditional over the top method but positioning it awkwardly like is in the photo will make stealing the car that much harder.Not to mention if the thief tries to drive off with it as is the handle is conveniently in between the bottom of the window frame and the a-pillar (2 or so inches wiggle room before it bottoms out) combine that with one full steering rotation to either side and the car is not going anywhere.For me and the car I drive (VE commodore/Pontiac G8) this works great.If you have a softer steering wheel this might leave indents on the surface as this steering wheel lock is quite heavy.

It feels reassuringly solid and heavy. No issues yet with the lock sticking - seems like you just have to be sure you've pushed the key all the way in. The yellow colour is clearly visible from outside without breaking a window first - as is the brand name, which is hopefully an extra deterrent, being Met police recommended. In 2 weeks my keyless entry car hasn't been stolen from my driveway - 2 neighbours in the last 6 months haven't been so lucky.I also bought (from a different site) the Milenco steering wheel soft pads, which are supposed to stop this lock from marking your wheel. They don't fit the lock well, and in any case the lock hasn't marked my Kona leather padded wheel. So at £13 for two bits of soft moulded plastic, I don't recommend them unless your steering wheel is covered in fragile antique gold leaf.
