I got this for my in-laws who have a low car and so it's a bit difficult for them to stand when getting out. They like it after the initial reluctance to any type of assistance items. They work well and are very easy to use. The plastic of the handle is just a bit slippery but not enough to worry about.The best way to use it is to turn in your seat till both your legs are out. Then place the handle in the door latch and then use it to stand. I got them one for each side so both would have the assist.

I picked this up to help my wife get int he car on those days where she is unsteady or the ground is slippery. It is very sturdy and does the job well. The handle is easy to grip and provides an excellent stable platform to hold onto. I havent tried the glass break or seat cutting functionality yet, but those are bonuses to what you will be using this device for day to day.

I can't stress enough how important it is to have one of these in your car. It could save your life one day. If you're stuck and/or have been in an accident and you're trapped, you can cut your seatbelt or smash your window if need be and it doesn't require superhuman strength to do either if you have this tool. I can't say I would use the handle function at this point in my life but I did test it and I can see how it would be useful for seniors or people with disabilities. I will definitely be getting a second one for my other vehicle!

This is a sturdy handle for assisted exit from a vehicle. I suspect it would also be helpful when stepping up into a vehicle.I haven't tried to break a window or cut a seat belt.
