Der Samenspender ist sehr hilfteich bei größeren Samenkörnern (z.B. Radies). Er lässt sich über die größte Öffnung in der Lochscheibe “rückwärts” gut befüllen und dann durch tippende Bewegungen auf die Box mit passender Locheinstellung beim Ausbringen der Samen gut dosieren. Die Farbe leuchtend grün ist auch vorteilhaft bei der Erkennung dunkler Samenkörner auf der Rieselschiene. Ein Manko bei kleinen Samenkörnern ist die statische Aufladung der Plastebox. Diese wollen dann wie “magnetisiert” die Box nicht verlassen und kleben förmlich innen an der Wand. Ein Kunststoff mit weniger elektrostatischen Eigenschaften wäre von Vorteil.

Have you ever tried to plant tiny seeds, like portulaca, poppy, or native grasses, and found them a pain to work with, either because they're stuck to your hand when you try to sow them, or because you spill them all at once by accident? This little device is a great way to keep them safely contained, away from the stickiness of your sweaty hand or the static electricity of a seed packet, until you get them where you want to plant them.Just carefully pour the seeds into the top green compartment and snap on the clear plastic cover. Make sure to position it so that the opening to the narrow chute is closed off until you're ready to sow, so your seeds won't escape! When you get them where you want to sow them, hold the device level (to keep the seeds inside!) and turn the dial marked on the clear lid to the opening size that best matches the seeds you're sowing. That's it!This device isn't foolproof; the lid comes on and off fairly easily, so keep that in mind when you're turning it to open and close the chute and select the opening size. For the price, though, it's a handy little tool that's worth owning. It definitely helped me plant my seeds—especially the tiny ones—at a more controlled rate and in more precise locations.
