I didn't realize how much I was missing calipers in my life before purchasing this tool. Since I've gotten them, I have measured more things with them than my handy-dandy tape measure. They're a lot quicker to use than a ruler for small things and there's less fiddling when you don't need to line up angles. You just take your measurement (inside diameter, outside diameter, and depth) then read off the results. You need to learn how to use the Vernier scale, but it's pretty simple once you get it (the 0 marker gives you your reading to the closest millimeter/16th of an inch, then the Vernier scale the will line up at the next digit. For example, 2.5mm would have the 0 halfway past the 2mm mark, and the "5" on the scale will line up perfectly with a line on the ruler (1-4 will be before the next line, 6-9 will be after).These are well made, nice little case (albeit cheap and thin), and super accurate.
