I bought this around the same time I realized I was tired of leaving my glasses on my nightstand, the edge of the bed, or wherever they ended up falling. I don't think anyone really goes out looking for something like this, but it's one of those things that you always think about getting "someday" because it's a small, throwaway type of thing that after you get up and go about your day, you don't think about the need. Except when you get into bed at night and take your glasses off and think “I really need to put these somewhere safe” just put this cup by the bed and you can take them off and tuck them in.I love it.
