So I originally bought this as a flavor for my coffee.It works OK in coffee, but a bit odd, and kind of overpowering.I also use these syrups for mixed drinks, and have been experimenting.With whiskey drinks, I don't mind a Manhattan.I tried mixing a Negroni, on the recommendation of a colleague. I don't know what people see in those.But the vermouth allowed me to try a Manhattan. I just had to find a way to get rid of the Campari.I googled around, and found out about the 'boulevardier' - the Manhattan/negroni hybrid. I began to realise that what I was considering was not unprecedented.I began to wonder if there could be a bubblegum flavored cocktail, called the 'Rowdy Roddy Piper'I mixed:60ml Jim Beam Devil's cut (a working man's bourbon, if ever there was one)30ml Campari7.5ml Monin Bubblegum syrupAnd...it worked!The whiskey really shines, then you get the bubblegum aftertaste.This is what it taste like to not be out of bubblegum, and to not have discovered a pair of Hoffman lenses and seen the true nature of reality.Due to that experience I cannot bring myself to give this product any less than five stars, despite what other as yet undiscovered faults it may have.
