Air Claire is very clever and cute, she makes me smile when I open our refrigerator door. I think that the Monkey Business products are so creative and fun and Air Claire is no exception! I love that we can use baking soda after the charcoal is no longer effective, and that the ineffective charcoal can be used to feed plants. We might have a little trouble finding sunlight in the winter to keep our charcoal active, but hopefully we will have some sunny days and find a window to set the charcoal bag in. Air Claire is easy to open and fill (she comes with 2 nice charcoal bags with air holes) she can sit on a flat surface or hang on her hook on a clothes rod. She doesn't smell, she's not perfumed which I'm glad about. She's not at all messy. She'll make you smile and keep her surroundings fresh. I'm a fan!

First of all, this is super easy to put together. You pop off the silicone monkey top, insert the charcoal pack that comes with it, and then put the silicone top back on. You get two charcoal packs, and each are reusable for 6 months each, so you basically have a one-year supply. It comes with a hook you can hang it from, or you can just have it standing on its own since it has a flat bottom. It says its a monkey but looks more like a bunny to me, lol. But overall, it is very cute. Time will tell how well it functions as an odor eliminator, but for the ease of use and the price, you should give it a try.

This silicone bunny is so adorable and would be perfect for a nursery area, but I'm not sure it's the right design to hold activated charcoal. Activated charcoal is a powerful adsorbent, but needs to be in contact with the air to be effective. About half of the charcoal bag is sitting down in a plastic cup and as the charcoal settles, I'd say about 2/3 of it is down in the cup and not in good contact with the air to pull out bad odors. I tried using it in the silicone bunny but didn't find the charcoal to be as effective at removing stale odors as when hanging the breathable bag by itself in the area that needed deodorized. (Reflected in the star rating.)That being said, it would probably work just fine as designed in a more confined area like a locker or small closet rather than a room or large walk in closet.I like that the charcoal bags can be recharged monthly by placing them in the sun for a couple hours to reuse them. I really appreciate being able to use a natural product like activated charcoal to remove odors over smelly sprays, reducing plastic or metal containers heading to the landfill.The bunny has a nice large cup inside, and seems suitable for baking soda, so I plan to fill it up with sodium bicarbonate and use it to keep the fridge smelling fresh while using the charcoal bags separately.As a side note this Monkey Business Activated Charcoal Odor Eliminator is made in China.

I put my white bunny in the closet using the hanger.I think you leave the charcoal in the bag….one reviewer said they poured the beads in the container…but I don’t think you need to do that. I’ve also seen charcoal bags where they said it helps to shake then around to activate them, so I’ll try that every so often.Something like this might be hard to monitor how effective it is, but it’s certainly cute and easy to move around and switch bags.Seems a bit pricey though, so would have to consider if it’s worth buying more charcoal bags.I liked one reviewer's idea of using the container to hold baking soda and put it in the fridge.
