Microphone quality is not good.

This cable does exactly what it says, mostly.For the price it is hard to beat and feels like a nice quality basic plastic.The caveat, or 'mostly' is it does not work with some 3.5mm adapters, such as my generic ugreen 32bit 384hz dac, which I highly recommend as an entry level adapter.Connecting it to this makes the audio sound like 8-bit like on a retro console, and it triggers the ai assistant constantly.For that reason I bumped my previous review score of 4 down to 2 stars, because it's a microphone cable, and it doesn't work with one of the most common microphone supporting adapters.It seems to work fine on stereo devices.Consider the tripowin grace as a better alternative, I guess you do get what you pay for.You will not confuse it for a high quality cable feel or appearance wise, but in terms of function I am a big fan of this barebones 2-pin connector style that can be used for recessed, flat, or protruding connectors.Very comparable to the truthear gate mic cable, virtually identical in feel and appearance.An incremental step up would be tripowins Grace, which has slightly less memory but a similar colour, though the standard 2 pin connector type which will still work for most recessed 2-pin types, although not if they are particularly deep.The tripowin Zonie Mic is what I would consider the premium offering in terms of bang for buck, by comparison, although it is more than triple the price.
