I’ve been wanting a slow release watering system for a long time, every summer I have to spend at least 1.5 hours outside watering front and back, dragging the hose around. Inevitably I miss too many evenings and each year plants die, particularly those at the back in the most densely planted areas.This offered me a chance to try out a potential solution and so far it’s working fine. I have tried it on one fairly wide bed with a mix of deep and shallow rooted plants and mature trees, winding it around the bed to be close to the roots of the main plants and the trees and capping it off at the end. Coupled with a digital timer it will ensure I don’t have any long gaps in watering leading to the damage/ plant death I usually experience each summer and it will stop the ground getting so dry and hard the water just runs off when I do get round to watering it.This is just what my gardener suggested and so far it is working as expected.

I've far less use for the watering can or sprayer for my vegetable patch these days. This irrigation hose has proven to be a game-changer and I sincerely wish I'd gotten one years ago. The hose comes with tap connectors and pipe connectors (straight-through and T-pieces) and it was very easy to set up.I placed the hose on top of the vegetable beds at the foot of my vege's and adjusted the tap flow to manage the water pressure and allow the water to drip through the hose. Once the water's dripping through the hose it soaks the soil where needed at the base of the plants, not showering them in water from above like the sprinkler. A far more efficient way to water the vegetables in the dryer months; this is going to be a water and vegetable saver.The 15 meter length was more than enough for my garden vegetable patches. The quality of the hose was robust and flexible enough to lay in place.  A great solution to efficient and effective watering!
