I have a folding ebike that is mostly used on camping trips. Space for transporting the bike is limited, so when I saw how another camper had mounted a collapsible crate to the back of his bike, I ordered one. I never got around to adapting and mounting that crate, but when I saw the MOSHAY foldable basket on Amazon, I ordered it right away. This basket is much heavier molded that the foldable crate – which would probably not have survived a bike fall-over. Strength does come at the cost of increased weight, though, so be aware that this basket weighs in at just under 5 pounds. The molding is largely solid with maximum 1/2” openings in the sides and four 1/2x1” openings in the bottom corners, so you won’t have a problem with small objects falling out. It takes a bit of practice to quickly unfold and latch the sides of basket, but the design is good and the unfolded basket is quite rigid. Note from the included instructions that there are finger grips on the sides that release four latches for folding the basket. It folds down to a 3” height. “Carry handles” are molded into the top of the sides, but unless you devise some sort of quick release mount, they won’t be useful. The basket is plenty strong enough for a handhold while walking or parking your bike. The provided mounting hardware should work for attaching the basket to the top of an existing rear rack on most bikes. The hardware is not stainless steel, so consider swapping it out if you want to avoid rust. My Lectric XP 3.0 has threaded flanges on top of the rack that, unfortunately, line up with molded “ribs” that run the length of the bottom of this basket. Because of this, the basket has to be mounted ¾” to one side to use the provided hardware. I plan to drill shallow relief holes for the flanges in the bottom of my basket and through holes for mounting with the Lectric provided mounting screws into the threaded flanges . This will make a nice install with no under-the-rack brackets needed. These complications are in no way the fault of the basket design. There is simply no way to make a basket that will be a perfect fit for every bike.This is an excellent foldable rear bike basket that I am glad I ordered.

Pain to install when there you will likely leave it there. Sides do not perfectly latch on front and back and tend to leave small gap at the top. The mesh does not have dedicated slots for hooks so tends to easily loose rubber ends on hooks disengaging. When driving over anything not totally smooth it rattles a lot when folded and loud - holding down by mesh does not help much. I think Installing custom 3D TPU printed bumps on sides may fix it. Big red reflecting strip prevents mounting of the bicycle light that will work even when the box is folded. I guess it is a glorified milk crate maybe not that sturdy but folding. Folding arguably useful…still quite wide unfolded pedal like size. If you mount this box on folding 20” bike test if you can still fold the bike with the box attached.

Love this. Perfectly fit the bike and great for delivering groceries etc.
