I read a LOT of reviews across the Motorola range before deciding to buy this monitor.I love it.The picture quality is very good on the monitor and even better on your mobile.You can choose for the picture to stay on for just a few mins or an hour. You can also turn the picture off on the monitor and just use for sound - great if the light of the screen would bother you at night. The sound is voice activated so you won’t hear every little thing. As others have said there is a slight time lag on the sound - about half a second which is fine.The pan movement is great but the tilt only works a few degrees via remote otherwise you have to move the tilt by hand.We opted for a third party flexible arm bracket to position the camera which we’ve been very happy with.Points from other reviews:The blue light on the camera to show it’s on is not bright enough to wake my baby.The sound on lullabies and talk back is a good level at the default and can be adjusted.Battery life is about six-eight hours with the picture on. You would need to plug in overnight.If you switch the monitor off in the nursery the parent unit beeps continually, so this needs to be remembered if one parent needs to sleep whilst the other one sorts out baby in the nursery - they would need to take the parent unit with them or switch it off before going to the nursery.The range is good in my house -a modern 5 bed detached. We get signal throughout the house and in the garden.

My Dad is not well and needs constant supervision. We got this in the early days so that we might be aware of any issues. I have been particularly impressed by the signal range. We live in a house with older thick walls, yet the signal is able to get through.The sound is adequate and we do not use camera on battery power at all.The pan tilt range could be better, but overall it has been a useful piece of kit. I'm glad that I bought it.

Motorola make great baby cams. App is easy to use but the camera doesn’t tilt (can do it manually but that involves going into a room to adjust whilst baby sleeps which sort of defeats the point!)Annoying because it advertises the tilt and my other Motorola’s do and it’s so helpful! Lady on the helpline from binatone was definitely not helpful either.

I needed a new Baby Monitor and this seemed to tick all the boxes, unfortunately though, at least with the unit I got - its too good to be true. Where to start:1) The Tilt does not work from the controller, seems like this is a common problem.2) If the monitor cannot connect to the camera is has a very loud continuous beep - At it keeps going, even if you have the volume turned off3) The switch to night-vision is far too sensitive, even in a room with full LED lights switched on, it still switches too night mode4) They include a huge notice that says "DO RETURN THIS PRODUCT TO THE STORE. CALL US".... yeah sure, if you not trying to profit from the fault (see the attached photo for call costs)
