Exactly what I wanted

It's that time of year when moths and other flying critters start invading your home... So, when the 'Zidina Moth Balls 30 Pack - 100% Natural Cedar Balls' came onto the Vine program, I thought it would be an ideal item to review.I was pleased to see that these are made of 100% cedar wood and not another wood that has been chemically infused with a 'cedar-like' scent. That gives these balls a more natural, subtle smell that hopefully won't transfer to your clothes (it hasn't yet).The fact that they come with two storage bags and some sandpaper to prolong their life is a bonus - and an education! Who knew that you should sand your cedar balls every few months to maintain their effectiveness.We've put half of the balls into one bag for storage and scattered the rest in various drawers to keep the pesky critters away - works so far. It is obviously too soon to tell how effective they are going to be long term - but so far so good!

I ordered these after finding that some moths had got into one of my boxes of craft wool, and not only had they had a go at the wool but also been eating the lavender bags I had in there! So something a little more heavy duty was obviously needed.The moth balls came with two small drawstring bags and little squares of sandpaper (to sand them down a little to release the scent more if it fades over time). They do smell like cederwood and are not overpowering, yet plenty scent enough so you can still smell them. The balls are lightweight so they won't make indentation marks on your fibre or clothes, and you get a decent amount of them to place around the house. So far so good, no moths, so they seem to be working well.

A nice product and I was surprised to read in the instructions "To maintain their effectiveness, lightly sand the surface of the balls every few months.". I am astonished that they last so long. A nice tough that sandpaper is included.Something I had expected was a 'mothball smell' but no, put right to one's nose there's barely anything and certainly nothing offensive or might be absorbed by clothes.As to function, time will tell, but so far I am delighted.
