Habe mir den Komposter nach langem Überlegen nun zu Weihnachten gekauft... Der Preis ist schon sehr stolz, aber das hier ist mit Abstand der ansprechendste Wurmkomposter von der reinen Optik her.Die Lieferung war schnell und der Komposter war schnell aufgebaut. Gut, für den Preis hätte ich schon ein bisschen weniger Grat und Fließlinien am Kunststoff erwartet, aber vielleicht bin ich da nur besonders penibel, weil ich aus der Kunststoffindustrie komme... 🙈WIE AUCH IMMER! Der Zusammenbau ist größtenteils selbsterklärend. Die Anleitung ist teils aber mit Übersetzungsfehlern. Man versteht dennoch, worum es gehen soll und die Fehler sind teilweise auch einfach nur unterhaltsam.Bis jetzt klappt damit alles gut und unsere Würmer fühlen sich wohl. Habe noch Würmer, Wurmfutter und Säureregulator dazu bestellt. Damit bin ich erstmal bestens aufgestellt.Hatten bislang nur einen Flüchtling, der wahrscheinlich beim Öffnen des Deckels entkommen ist und ein Wurm hat sich im Komposter nach unten verirrt. Aber bei 250 Würmern ist das eine gute Quote würde ich sagen.Bislang riecht hier auch nichts unangenehm... Also bin sehr zufrieden!

Pros: Comes with everything you need to start your worm-composter!Con: The legs are a little unsteady, and the whole set-up wobbles a little while handling the trays.I've had this for 6 weeks now, and I've just harvested my first tray of worm castings for my garden beds. I don't know if that's an average timeline, but this starter kit has 2 nice big trays, with lots of space for a home compost set-up.The only thing that I added to this kit, which I think would benefit everyone who gets this kit, was a small metal rake make for working with bonsai plants. It just makes it so much easier to turn the soil, and the small rake doesn't cause a bunch of the substrate/castings to dump out onto the floor, like turning with the shovel does.Trust me, the plastic shovel is a great asset as well, and the coconut substrate and Jute blanket are a MAJOR need to get your farm started. So, this kit literally has everything you need... but I recommend adding a small metal bonsai rake to your shopping cart, to make the kit absolutely perfect.I bought ~250 red wiggler worms for this composter, and that seems to be the perfect amount to get going. You could probably get as little as 100 worms, but I wouldn't go higher than 250 if you're only going to compost with one tray at a time. Could probably go as high as 500 worms if you want to hit the ground running and use both trays at once, but I wouldn't recommend it.Besides all the other things I've already mentioned, the main selling point on this starter kit for me is the drilled holes in the top lid of the kit. I wanted to make sure my plastic worm farm had adequate air for my worms to breathe comfortably, and this was the best-looking set-up, which meets all my standards, at a price that I could justify to myself as being worth it.Considering that I have not had to pay for anything else in the 6 weeks since I've bought it, and I'm already harvesting castings for my garden, makes me think this thing is going to pay for itself five-fold by next Spring.Trust me, I did the same research, weighing pros & cons vs cost, aesthetics and overall completeness included in the purchase that you're likely doing right now, and this one checks all the boxes, has the most space, looks the best, and has everything you need to just add worms and get started. Get this worm farm! You won't regret it!
