Tried it once and it worked very well. Used infusible ink pens, drew the outline of the image (generated with chat gpt) with the Cricut, coloured in by hand, cut out with cricut to match the size of the mouse mat and attached with heat resistant tape. Transferred the ink using a heat press that covers the whole mouse mat (I have one of the brand Vevor, works well). Needed to heat for about 3 minutes in total I think and quite hot (about 190 degrees Celsius). Checked a few times in between by lifting up a corner and it hadn't transferred well then. Guess that's why the bottom left corner is a bit lighter. Do use a heat resistant mat (mine came with the heatpress) under your mouse mat to protect the surface underneath. And ventilate the area well while using the heatpress (the infusible ink becomes a gas, don't breathe it in. I used it in the kitchen under the extractor fan and you can wear a mask that's meant to protect from fumes as well). I used this image on mug before as well and there you can see some of the ink lines, but the result on this mouse mat is much smoother.
