The smell is nice and subtle it’s not overpowering and it does seem to burn fairly slow. It’s attractive enough, but the price is a little high for what it is (or maybe just because it’s such a basic smell)Would be giftable If someone really loved plain vanilla!

This is truly a well made candle. Just look at it. It's even more stunning when you take it out of the box. I immediately made room for it on my side table. The frosted like glass and the nice gold label, finished with a beautiful classic top. Who wouldn't love it?It's a large size but not one of those tall way to big to ever burn it all the way down candles. And the smell is soooo...I can't say yummy because it's not like sugar cookies. It's fragrant vanilla that's soft and warming with subtle other scents that aren't pungent but make the scent unique. Don't let the word "strong" get to you, it's the perfect amount of smell!The wicks are well places to burn the candle pretty evenly with a slow burn time.I totally suggest trying one, and if you don't like the candle itself then you always have a gorgeous jar to use after.

The candle smells great. I'm still in the top layer (only 2 hours of burn) but I have little doubt it will perform as stated. The jar has a heavy base and is clearly made of quality materials. My problem is with the price. I normally buy 22 oz Yankee Candles with 110 hours of burn (about the same since it only has one wick). I pay $17 or less for those candles. This one is twice as expensive. If you like good candles and want to splurge, this may be the candle for you. To me, I need a lot more for double the price.
