MSI are undisputably one of the best manufacturers out there for gaming/high performance motherboards, the MEG Z690 Unify does not fail to meet these expectations, if anything exceeding them slightly, for me personally.With its 12-layer PCB, it packs quite the heft, and feels very sturdy in hand, plenty of options for expansion with its 5 m.2 slots and indeed SLi/Crossfire compatible those die-hard gamers.The specification is very impressive for the price, it's definitely well suited to gamers or those who want a clutter-free experience in the case.Personally paired mine with an i9 12900ks and 32GB ddr5-6000 Corsair Vengeance CL36 ram, I'm Incredibly impressed, despite the steep learning curve with DDR5 vs previous generations, it's worth the time and efforts to get right.I won't deny it initially took a fair bit of tweaking settings to get XMP to run stable 24/7, but I'm inclined to put this down to the choice of memory rather than the motherboard itself.Overall, well worth the price paid (on offer at 30% off at time of purchase), very good build quality with heatsinks galore, including for all 5 m.2 slots. Subtle but industrious looking styling, it's a winner in my book.It should be noted the motherboard has no provision for integrated graphics and thus a dedicated GPU will be required, but then, given the target audience, this shouldn't be a problem for anyone looking to buy this particular board.Thunderbolt (USB4) support out the box, WiFi6 & BT with plenty of expansion for more than the already generous supply of USB3 ports upon the rear I/O. The 'Pros' are near endless.Multiple vendor ARGB support and headers for a total of 8 fans make cooling and lighting a breeze.Lack of paper manual included in the box was slightly frustrating and perhaps the only 'Con' i could make, given the caliber of the hardware, but then, it wasn't difficult to download the PDF and in fairness the paper saved is arguably quite environmentally conscious given I will likely never need to use the manual again throughout the lifetime of the product.

I purchased the motherboard to use with a 13600k and ddr5 ram. The Z690 chipset of course requires a BIOS update to use with the 13th generation intel CPUs, and there were instructions on how to do this in the motherboards manual. It was as simple as downloading the latest bios from the MSI website and putting it on a USB drive. I then put the USB drive into the slot on the I/O panel and pressed the "flash" button. I did this without installing any parts in the motherboard, and only connecting the CPU and motherboard power cables. The BIOS flash worked flawlessly and the PC posted with no issues after installing all of my components. The motherboard itself looks very nice for the price and the BIOS is easy to navigate. In terms of performance, I have little knowledge of what to look for between motherboards as I have used so few, however everything in my system is working brilliantly with no issues.

Ero alla ricerca di una scheda madre per un Intel i7-12700k.Il socket è ovviamente lga 1700 con chipset z690 con supporto ram ddr5.Fate attenzione, le ddr4 non sono retro compatibili.Trovate tutte le specifiche sul sito della msi, comunque brevemente:-dotata di Wi-Fi 6 on board con due antenne posteriori già fornite nel pacchetto- 4 slot per ssd M.2, 3 delle quali con supporto pcie 4.0 (1 alla cpu, 3 al chipset)-6 porte sata 6gb/s-supporto raid 0/1/5/10 su sata e 0/1/5 su pcie-4 slot ddr5 Max 128gb-3x PCIe x16 slots di cui uno PCIe 5.0 x16E 1x PCIe 3.0 x1 slot-1uscita hdmi 2.1 e 1 display port-porte usb (comprese di connettori sulla mobo)1x USB 3.2 Tipo c2x USB 3.2 gen 26x USB 3.2 Gen 14x USB 2.0 Tipo A-1 connettore 4 pin pwm per la ventola del dissipatore-1 connettore 4 pin pwm per pompa a liquido-6 connettori 4 pin DC per ventole caseIn realtà il software msi le fa settore come pwm ma il controllo avviene in DC, il quarto pin è un ncAll’interno della confezione troviamo antenne, viti, cd con i driver e ovviamente il pannello ioIl bios è fatto bene e intuitivo, nella modalità advance diventa un po’ più complesso ma vi permette di fare davvero molte cose.P.s. Sul sito msi è già uscita una versione più aggiornata, consiglio l’aggiornamentoAh dimenticavo viene fornita anche una piastrina da usare come dissipatore per lo slot1 dell’ssd M.2Riassumendo i fattori che mi hanno portato ad acquistarla e per cui la consiglio-prezzo midrange, non la più economica ma decisamente non la più cara-supporto ram ddr5 “a prova di futuro” anche se adesso sono piuttosto introvabili e costose-disponibile su Amazon prime-moltitudine di slot e porte I/O-brand comunque conosciutoConsigliata!
