I bought these to replace the standard pegs on my Robens tent. I'd already purchased some for my MSR tent.You may well ask why I need two packs but once they are bought they are put in the tent pack that way they never get left behind!Used these pegs in various surfaces including some quite hard ground and the perform very well.Go in relatively easily and feel secureYes, there's cheaper options but but cheap buy twice .....or lose your tent in a strong wind!

Bought to secure the 5 most stressed pegging points of my backpacking tent where round profile pegs would be likely to pull out. Groundhogs are the best for this and the alloy used and the profile is stronger than other cheaper aluminium similar section pegs that I have had which easily bend or break. Have top loops to help pull out. A titanium version might be better stronger and lighter but I have not seen, at least with the same length as these. A bit expensive, but hopefully you buy once and saving yourself on a stormy night is worth something

Ya los estrené en terreno medio duro y rocoso, les dí su clavada con hacha y la verdad que dieron buen servicio. Los usé tanto para un toldo y para sustituir los de la tienda, se vino la tormenta y bastante viendo, no se movieron NADA. Costosos pero excelentes, compraré otro kit para ya sustituir todos los de la tienda.

Canada review. Both of these came from Amazon, but only one had MSR laser etching on the stakes.On the left are legit MSR stakes, they have laser etching, feel more solid, they sound more solid, the pull rope is quality and isn’t frayed upon arrival.Buy the real MSR stakes, the Chinese knockoffs (on the right) are being returned. Know your gear and don’t buy Chinese knockoffs.
