This part is vital to the operation of our riding mower. We replaced this part in a few hours and the quality is better than the OEM.

My trusty 18-year-old TroyBilt Horse ride-on mower seems to get through these quadrants every two to three years. The teeth wear out, usually on the far ends, ie. at full lock, where the steering forces are higher.It's a PITA to replace and being old and rough, I've cut away plastic and steel on the mower to make it easier to access the bolt.Some versions work better than others and hopefully this one will last as long.

I bought this for my cub cadet gt1554. I had replaced this part last year, with a slightly cheaper gear combo. That lasted all 7 times I ran the mower, lost steering going towards full lock. This part though has been great since the first time I used it, not one issue. Fit is just as good as new [with other mtd replacement parts].Never buy the cheaper version.
