My expectation of a "mulcher" is that the grass is cut up in small particles, smaller than the regularly cut gras, and that those small particles will fall between the straws of the lawn to be consumed by worms and bugs, thereby being converted into something usable.This is not what happens when you use Bosch MultiMulch. Like several others here have already written the funcdtion of this part seems only to to plug the hole through which the grass would normally exit. The "mulcher" is just a cheap piece of plastic. It doesn not seem to provide any "mulching" capability. I assume that any home-made board or even a plug made of rug would fill the same function.Because there is no "mulching" function at all the cut grass collects on one side under the lawn mower and is simply dispensed in the shape of large patches onto the cut lawn. After a few days the patches turn yellow (see left side in the attached photo). My whole lawn is entirelly striped by those yellow streaks.Since the grass is not "mulched" at all, but left as is, then over time the whole bottom of the lawn fills up with this debris (see right side of the attached photo). It leaves the same feeling as you would see in the spring in case you did not cut the grass before winter; it's soggy, it looks unhealty, it probably will ruin your lawn over time.My experience with the Bosch AdvancedRotak is equally dissapointing (I wrote a separate review on that), so I must unfortunatelly recomend against buying that machine and this attachment.

Se acopla muy bien y su funcionamiento es muy bueno. El único pero es su precio que lo veo elevado para lo que realmente es (un trozo de plástico). Lo ideal sería que lo incluyesen en la compra del cortacésped.

I bought this to save my red bin being full with the amount of grass I have to cut. It works though I do leave a trail of cut grass in my wake. An unforeseen advantage is that I can cut more grass in less time due to not having to empty the grass box so often. I hear the 'mulch' is good for the grass as it returns the nutrients to the soil though I would say this does just seem to divert the clippings down out of the back of the mower as opposed to helping the mower to cut the grass into tiny little pieces. However, I'd buy a replacement if mine broke. (Breaking through normal use would be extremely unlikely.)
