A cute little CD player that also plays MP3s from a USB input and has Bluetooth connectivity. It can lie flat on a desk but there is a stand built in so that it can be displayed. The controls are a little fiddly and not that responsive, but the sound is surprisingly good for such an inexpensive device. The big drawback however is it is made from very cheap, thin plastic, and it's incredibly light. It certainly wouldn't survive a fall and it seems only a matter of time before it gets knocked over.

This Multifunctional CD Player with Bluetooth is an unusual audio device. It has a sleek, transparent cover and lavender colour exterior, it looks good on a shelf complementing contemporary living areas. It also has lots of features making it versatile; it can play CDs, music on a USB, or streamed music with its Bluetooth connectivity (e.g. paired with smartphone, tablet, or portable digital player, etc).In terms of audio performance, the player sounds okay given its constraints, i.e. it only has two small speakers/apertures. I needed to put the volume up to max for it to fill a smallish study room. Its controls are a little awkward as the buttons are small and fiddly, plasticky rather than precision, and it is difficult to see the symbols on the buttons indicating what they do. But apart from this, all the expected functions are there, including volume, fast forward, skip track, loop, and stop. The player has a 2000mAh rechargeable battery, with provides a few hours of music.Included is a small bracket which can easily be attached so the player can be stood upright it preferred. The Player arrived with a fully discharged battery, and it wouldn’t play music while being charged. It took around 4 hours to charge. Its instructions are poor, and contain some unusual warnings, e.g. ‘do not use in harsh conditions, such as high volume’ and ‘to achieve good playback effect, do not place the machine flat’ (I think this meant not to obstruct its speakers). The transparent plastic cover is unusual too, it is separate from the player and difficult to remove and replace.

This is a cute little device which has obviously been made for the Chinese market - English is an afterthought on the instruction leaflet. It can be connected to a phone and used as a speaker but its main use is going to be for playing CDS. Yes, I know they are old technology and we all stream music these days, but we can’t be the only family with CDs from the past which are recordings that are not commercially available any more and are not on the streaming platforms. Ours included a couple from school plays and choir and one we bought on a lovely holiday made by wannabe musicians at the hotel. Now we have something to play them on and it works great for this. The sound is OK but not fabulous so not sure we’d use it as a speaker. The top is quite hard to remove and comes off completely and the distinctive lilac colour will be a matter of taste but the colour doesn’t affect the performance. It’s good for what I wanted it for and I am glad to have it.

Portable CD player that is very much like the old CD walkmans we had in the early 2000's.The mechanism is outstandingly quiet - I was expecting the normal noisy drives that cheap cd players often have which can be obstrusive when listening to a cd. This unit had no noticeable noise at all - not even a slight motor whine which was really imprressive. The violet colour is cool and really attractive. The lid however, was almost impossible to get off the player initially and I had to use a pen knife to free it the first time but it is getting a bit better each time to remove. The lack of hinges on the cover might be a problem for some people but it is probably easier to use it without the cover and just replace that when you are finished. Obviously the speakers are very small and sound qaulity from the internal speakers is about what you might expect from a mobile phone but with less distortion. Plug in headphones or a soundbar however, and the sound qaulity improves drastically and is very acceptable in any situation.Charging lead is supplied but a charger is not and you need to be aware that a standard phone charger will not pack enough of a punch to charge the internal battery. I found it needed at least a 35W charger to put a meaningful charge into the unit but it has a reasonable battery life once charged. I also had to experiment a bit with chargers if using the player plugged in as some introduced noise into the power line causing a hum (obviously it didn't know the words!) but a decent original psu worked perfectly. As a gift for a teen this is an excellent product and is just in time to capitalise on the uptake of interest in cd's that seems to be spreading in the teen community when they can't find a gramophone to play their parents records on.
