These pickups are beautiful. The chrome plating is even and high polished, the shape is perfect. They fit beautifully inside pickup rings. The sound is good for the money, but not mind-blowing by any means. The neck pickup is dark and smooth, but very low output overall. The bridge pickup is loud with a significant mid-range eq spike, it reminds me of the old "S" pickups that came stock on PRS SE guitars in the late 00's. The middle position is where this set shines. The higher output and midrange "honk" of the bridge pickup is mellowed out by the neck pickup, making a clear, sparkly tone. These are definitely a "vintage style" set and won't push a high gain amp to full sustain despite the 16k output rating of the bridge. Use this set for alt rock, jazz, blues, or punk rock.
