It's possible to spend a lot of money on a neck plate, but these are priced very reasonably.As a luthier, I am happy to fit these to guitars and basses with otherwise very high-end hardware, because they perform perfectly well and look great. My customers are happy too.Why break the bank on a rectangular bit of metal and 4 screws? All it has to do is hold a neck firmly to a body.The screws are sturdy, and do not get chewed. Just drill the right size holes, and use a little wax or grease.Yep - highly recommended.

If you like Nickel hardware instead of chrome, then is doesn't get much better than this. These are great if you want to relic the plate for a custom build or for and old guitar. 20-30 seconds in ferric chloride solution and they look old. A couple of minutes and you start to expose the copper plating that is under the nickel. Much easier to relic than the chrome plated version. The screws are a little thinner than the original fender screws and do the job just fine on any new neck. If using your original neck then you should use the original screws. They appear to be stainles steel and the screw heads relic very fast in ferric chloride solution. I have used these neck plates on a few guitars and they just look great however you use them reliced or shiny. A great product.
