The inside edges of this chicken feeder are very sharp. The edges of the lid are the same.My husband will be filing all the inner edges or taping them so they don’t damage me or my hens. The hopper is a good size, and the feeder has a few nice design features which stop the ladies from billing out the seed they don’t want onto the ground. The lid locks securely in place and it feels stable which is good as I’m sure some of my flock will get up onto the flat part of the roof. It’s hard to clean especially with it being sharp, and the opening is wide so I’m pretty sure rain will get in it. So will rats. The roof needs to extend further to be weather proof and stop food spoiling, and it will need to be sited under cover. At night it will need to be moved so as to not encourage rats, and the handles make this easy.I can see easily when it needs to be replenished. It will allow 2 bantam hens like Wyandottes or silkies to stand side by side and feed, or one full size hen like a Rhode island red. My flock will have to queue and would ideally need more room. For a small flock of hens though it’s fine.I hope you find my experiences helpful.

The 'MUYIRTED Large Chicken Feeder 8KG, Poultry, Automatic, Stainless Steel, Anti-Splash' arrived in a plain box.I found the feeder has a good solid construction, nothing flimsy about it and in general it appears to be well made but with one exception and that was that I found many of the sheets of stainless steel used to construct the feeder although being de-burred on the visible edges, they had not been fully de-burred on the inside edges which might cause cuts to the hand when cleaning the feeder; though I do recommend wearing gloves as added protection. The two buckles on the sides of the feeder hold the lid securely in place, and the lid coverage should prevent any water ingress from that direction. There is one aspect that may have made this feeder even better and that would have been a vertical baffle to halve the feed capacity and allow only one side to be used at one time especially useful if there are less chickens to feed.
