MXR M133 Micro Amp - Distortion effect

I accidentally bought the wrong one but this turned out to be fantastic.

Love this pedal. It's a fantastic boost. I like to put it in front of my amp to push the tubes a bit harder when I need to stand out in a solo or something, but it also works really well in the effects loop if you have a pedal that sucks some of the line level. It doesn't color your tone, which is great, unless you want something that does. If you do, I recommend the Dunlop Echoplex Preamp. It's not as aggressive a boost as this MXR, but it adds a bit of dirt to your tone, but in a good way. What's neat about that pedal too, is it can also cut your tone down, whereas the MXR doesn't. I have them both, and love them both. The micro amp is a staple of my pedal board though.
