Very messy to use

I find these dyes very easy to use, however, I don't feel that they are as 'strong' as the powder dies. I tried doing some art on a garment, left it to dry overnight and the colour washed off without a trace in cold water! There should at the very least have been a small mark.I bought several colours and so far have found them all to be very good, except for the taupe which looks like a beige-ish colour on the bottle but is actually a quite nice grey. It's not a bad colour, just not the colour I wanted to dye my dress....but found out when it was too late as it started out beige and only went grey when I rinsed the dress.I think that the powders are stronger, but sometimes can tend to be patchy or get sprinkled in the wrong places the liquids are far more convenient.
