Narex Beitel/gatbeitel met houten handvat voor pin gaten 8 mm

My first and only Narex chisel and first ever mortise chisel. This thing looks like it's made to slay vampires. You can hammer it hard and long for giant mortises and timber framing.

Excellent quality! Required no fine tuning at all. Came ready to use right out of the box. Only issue was the handle feels really light in the hand; and took some getting use too. Otherwise it’s an amazing quality Mortising chisel!

Narex chisels are not the best on the market, but, for the money, they're pretty good value.This one is nicely put together and plenty solid enough to take a sound beating when clearing out a mortice, but the bevel wasn't flat and had a few milling marks that needed to be ground off to make it sharp.I have never owned any other brands of mortise chisels - preferring to cut mortices with a bench chisel - so feel free to put this down to a lack of experience, but it doesn't keep an edge for as long as I'd expect.However, having said this, it's quick and easy to get a sharp edge and it's great to lean on when clearingwaste so maybe it's just me?

I'd heard nothing but praise for Narex chisels so decided to buy a mortise chisel to see what all the fuss was about. This is a seriously good mortise chisel and is approaching the quality of similar Lie Nielsen mortise chisels and as good if not better than British made Crown registered mortise chisels.Out of the box it is honed well and ready to go. The sides are square and the handle is great to hold. It takes a tap with a mallet very well with no chipping or breakage.I am converted to Narex and would like to try other chisels in their range.

Bon rapport qualité /prix pour un acier 59 HRc … La fabrication paraît sérieuse (il est bien affûté) pour un usage régulier. Je viens également d’acheter le lot de 4 bédanes Narex complétés par ce 8 mm manquant reçu aujourd’hui.
